NSF Grant on Accessible Captioning of Non-Speech Information

Mark Cartwright, Magdalena Fuentes, and Sooyeon Lee receive new $800,000 NSF grant on accessible captioning on non-speech information. The grant, titled Collaborative Research: HCC: Medium: AI-Supported Audio Captioning of Non-Speech Information, will support 2 graduate students and a postdoc to research the design and development of AI-supported systems for captioning non-speech information in online media.
